It's Electric

Last night we experienced our first real Midwest lightning storm. And it did not disappoint. See, in Utah the storms last maybe a couple of hours with spaced out strikes. In Indiana however, it's an all night spectacle that lights up the night sky continuously. I had a hard time sleeping, not because I was scared but because I didn't want to miss it. The kids on the other hand weren't such big fans and both ended up sleeping on the floor in mine and Noah's room.

  1. I too love those Midwest storms. They are incredible powerful, and I'm terrified and fascinated at the same time. Wish we had them here in Utah!

  2. They are amazing!! I remember in Milwaukee one time Jason and I sat out on our porch and watched one for 2 hours. It was a constant lighting strike or thunder-we were in awe at how cool it was. Glad you were able to experience one.

  3. Hey Kaila,
I just made the cheesecake brownies you posted with your recipes...mmm...I'd like to both blame you for and dedicate the next few dimples in my butt to you. Thanks, they are yum!

  4. I have lived here for about five years and I still don't sleep through the storms. I love them and hate them, depending on if Josh is home or not. But welcome to Indiana, and welcome to storm/tornado season.

  5. Oh how I will miss those storms. I enjoyed every single one and relished every moment of the last one that came through before our move. No storms are the mid west storms that's for sure!
