I Love KY

This morning, I was in my first triathlon with some fellow Lifferths in Kentucky (KY) and I totally rocked the casbah.
Apparently swimming is my thing. This could be due to the fact that I have incredibly high buoyancy thanks to Oliver who is still nursing. The advantage of buoyancy was however counteracted by the fact that my left bosom kept creeping out of my tank top every time I lifted my arm to take a breath. On the flip side, this could have also been an advantage as it may have caused a few fellow swimmers to lose their concentration upon seeing an exposed breast.
The bike trail was picked by a sadist. It could not have been more hilly.
The same person who chose the bike trail also designed the running course. It was brutal and on grass. I HATE running on grass. But you know, it was still kind of fun pushing myself. And like I said, I rocked it.

Rewind: Because the triathlon started so early, we got to spend the night at Austin and Erin's house (Lifferth cousins) and seriously it was one of the funnest weekends we've have since our move out.
The kids got to stay up late playing with cousins which led to inevitable melt downs today. All in the name of fun.
Bonus shot: Oliver loves oranges.
P.S.
You have no idea how tired I am right now unless you too were in a triathlon today.

Cheers to a good night's sleep.

  3. Way to go! I do know how tired you are...I have done two "unofficial" triathlons before and they wear you OUT! Way to go with the bosom-tactic.

  5. Seriously that is so cool! I would love to do one of those some time in the future. I think it is awesome that you get to know the Lifferth's out there-how fun!

  6. Wow, I'm uber-impressed! Spencer does the occasional Tri and I'm always so in awe of him and all the other competitors. Doing three entirely different sports in one competition takes a whole different level of endurance.
