Happy Cinco de Mayo

Today is of course the day we celebrate the Mexican Revolution--its victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla. Apparently the Boy Scouts of America don't like Mexico because guess where Noah was tonight?

Hint: not at home drinking sangria's.

Alas, this year we will be celebrating Nueve de Mayo in which nothing at all happened in Mexico, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. But we will be at a park on Saturday eating nachos and thinking of the good ol' days when we used to eat carne asada and pico de gallo at the Gauses followed by a good pinata slaughtering. sigh.

Instead, today we had a house full of kids. I learned [again] that indeed 3 is a crowd. Gabby spent numerous instances moping around whenever she wasn't at the center of the attention. Alex gave me a tutorial on throwing a football, seriously--when I attempted to throw the ball with my feet together, he got all up in face and told me that I had to step into it. He showed me how it was done and let me tell you, that boy throws one mean spiral!
Oh, and then there's this . . .

For the record, Ollie isn't walking. . .yet.

P.S.

I love you Amoxcillin--Oliver slept through the night last night and is a whole new boy.

  1. I just read your whole blogpost to Bishop Young, and he said, "Besides all that content being delightful, she writes really well!!"
Maybe he would've given you a straight A instead of a stupid A-. (And yes, of course I now call him Bishop Young.)

  4. Can you believe those Boy Scouts? I'm getting sick of them, they take my husband away way too much. And the Young Women hog me.
