Kashgar

I just read a news article that made me sick.

The Chinese government is tearing down the city of Kashgar.

"Many expect the ancient quarter, considered one of Central Asia's best preserved sites of Islamic architecture, to disappear almost entirely before the end of the year. "This is the Uighurs' Jersualem" 'Noah and I occasionally toy with the idea of going back. Now we can't. I don't understand this at all.
